Who I am

I'm a 23-year-old guy from Russia, and I play mostly Minecraft and CS2. You might have met me under the nicknames Greenbox (for chat and 3D), Yamao (music), and Greenyamao (usually link on social media).

How it started

In 2019, I started learning FL Studio and Cinema 4D (to create intros), later moving to Cubase and Blender. Throughout this time, I periodically worked on projects at the intersection of music, 3D modeling and programming. My main driver is interest and visible results; without them it is difficult to advance. At the same time, I feel the potential to create a large-scale, significant product.

Experience & approach

3D modeling: carried out orders to create Low Poly models for mobile games and textured Game Ready PBR models (Hardsurface). Worked with simulations of liquid, smoke and fabric. Programming: created websites with configured CI/CD, developed add-ons for Blender and scripts for converting files. Music: experimented in a variety of genres.

Favorite musicians

Daft Punk (Tron Legacy Soundtrack) - evokes the past: the atmosphere of a rainy evening, an old CRT TV, a cassette tape, and a powerful symbiosis of orchestral and electronic music. Snail House (Ujico) - completely changed my perspective on musical genres, opened up a world beyond rap, and motivated me to continue my own creativity. Ichika Nito - a source of support in difficult times. A unique combination of melancholy, baroque elements, and a unique perception of reality. Other musicians I like: louiscolemusic, HAKUSHI HASEGAWA, Tigran Hmasyan, Mei Semones, ano, toe, Tele, Bish, Made in Abyss ost, sakanation, sunny day service, Mili, vaundy, Yuyuyuppe, あばらや, Fujii Kaze, Moeshop, Polyphia, Maxo, Metaroom, Oliver Buckland, Gyari, Nier Automata, Kikuo, 椎名林檎, The hatters, Sub urban, Kenshi Yonezu, Official髭男dism, Bach The Art of Fugue, JYOCHO, babymetal, SupaBubba, The witcher 3 soundtrack.

What inspires me

Visuals: cinematic photorealistic renders, 3D animation, and movie scenes. People: creators who continually and sincerely create new things, not just for show. Music: a diverse range of music, from sickly sweet 8-bit and pumping French House/Trap to the complex academic structures of Bach, Ichika Nito, and the soundtrack to Made in Abyss. Opportunities of the era: globalization, allowing us to find like-minded people, follow our idols, and learn from others.
